Otto Alencar is a Brazilian politician and senator representing the state of Bahia. He was born on June 3, 1957, in Ruy Barbosa, Bahia. Before entering politics, Alencar worked as a doctor in the state's public health system and was also a professor of medicine.
Alencar began his political career in the 1980s and has served in various positions, including state deputy, federal deputy, and state secretary of health. He was first elected to the Senate in 2010 and was re-elected in 2018.
